Aetheria - Chapter 8 posted

Been holding this chapter for a while, because I wanted to get a chapter of VRMMO out.

This chapter was a bear to edit. It's freakin' huge. 12,000 words. Seriously.

As a bonus, because of the delay, I've upgraded the status tables to nice, easy to read, colored ones with fancy rounded edges.

After figuring out that Windows 10's stupid auto-correct was the cause of the editor slowdown that was keeping me from editing the chapter, I finally was able to mess around with the table stuff and figure out how to add the changes without blogger blowing up my table html when switching between the "compose" editor and the html editor.

Now, if only I could get blogger to stop adding in stupid font formatting stuff every time I cut and paste...

Just a heads up for current readers, I've decided to change to the (future) story timeline to condense some future events, and was able to cut a year off the story. So, the current age of most of the characters will be raised by one year. Raithe will go from 9 at the start to 10, for example. I'll be going back and ninja editing this chapter and the previous chapters as I have time.

At this point, the change doesn't really effect anything more than me just changing the numbers where I see them and reworking some of the Adventurer's Guild age requirements talked about in book 2 (which hasn't been introduced yet). In other words, if Raithe or one of his buddies are suddenly one year older than you remember, don't worry, you didn't miss anything.

Well... that took longer than expected...

I sure hope this flu + bronchitis + flu + bronchitis cycle isn't going to become a yearly thing. That's two years in a row that it has taken me out at the beginning of the year, and just when I start getting caught up, it hits again. I think I'm safe now that winter is over, but I might be just in time for allergy season...

If I could translate from my tablet instead of my computer, then this chapter would have been out ages ago. On the positive side, I got a ton of creative writing done.

Anyway, chapter 43 can be found here. In this chapter, we resume with Yuu meeting the Spirit at a fountain in the special fairy zone.
